Cheers, Elaine. Have a good weekend yersel’.

If you can’t be in one the noo, there’s always another panto to watch when things get real slow. It stars somebody called Dee Peffel or somethin’, and despite the virus is still showing down in London.

  3. Neil Anderson says:

Oh dear oh dear. Have I ever felt so patronised in my life? Well, no I haven’t. Who, exactly, is this aimed at?

    • P Harvey says:

It reinforces the message – we are all in this together and need to follow the guidelines!
      😜
      Get a life!

The 40% in the street not following the rules. Figures show those 18 to 40 are the cause of current spread. It is aimed are selfish people who do not care and those who are not thinking about others.

    • diabloandco says:

      Try this ,

I’m sure your feelings of being patronised will be refreshed.

      • Undeadshuan says:

i remember that. Its better with the added subtitles.

Bet she voted for brexit as well.

And if she has a cousin in the USA, they voted for trump and will do again.

Ah better together remember them not!

      • Dr Jim says:

I always noticed she was so concerned with her kids she said the best time of the day was when they weren’t there so she could get peace

OMG, the horror, the horror! I feel sorry though for the real person, the actress, who did that thing. It was laser targeted at a particular demographic that Bitter Together identified by focus-group as being eminently susceptible, and maybe somebody knows better, but I assume she was just doing a job, playing a role. But imagine your face forever being associated in the public mind with that vacuous “Cereal Woman”.

(Come IR2, maybe the indy campaign should hire her and have her character say “I made a terrible mistake last time by not paying attention but I’m older and wiser now, and am certainly not making that mistake again”.)

      • Welsh Sion says:

And do we all remember the follow up?

Incidentally, in the book ‘Project Fear’, there’s a section which mentions that female Bitter Together staffers agreed that ‘the woman who made up her mind’ was ‘patronising tripe’ and ‘fed into the Nationalist narrative’

    • Dr Jim says:

The message is right, it’s just the acting that’s bad

    • Wee Chid says:

People who need a celebrity to tell them what to believe. Sad, isn’t it?

Mary Doll’s fairly gone uphill. 😀

Witnessed in a shop full of teenage school students not socially distancing, ‘ It’s only poor people that get ill, we’re from rich people, we don’t catch it’.
The media have some of the blame with their ‘children don’t get effected’.
When it is known that putting humans in confined space causes the R number to be INFINITY, they all catch it but some don’t have symptoms.
Like nuclear contamination the answer is Confinement, until .
Even Polio is making a comeback in places around the world.

She used a word which our FM also uses to describe our behaviour during this crisis (collectively).
This word and perhaps more importantly the response it creates, causes our Tory friends to go into a livid meltdown.
For them, collectivisation is the enemy of free marketeering and must be avoided at all costs.
Unfortunately, the cost, especially in England,is in people dying because the Tories over decades, including the Blairites, have fostered a culture of me first.
This is going to be very difficult to reverse in England but there is hope in our country where people still value community (society) and collective action.
    Thanks Elaine.

“A pandemic? Who would ever have thought of that? Well a few brainy folk did actually”

Aye, along with those who follow their writings and broadcasts instead of watching vacuous celebrities on countless crap TV shows or politicians with an agenda. We were warned.
